Our Story

In 1969, the owner & director Alan Smart, set up an automotive business in Staffordshire , England out of his garage. Fast forward 50 years later in 2019 he had created a company which employed over 200 people worldwide. It was at this point he decided to sell the company to an American consortium. Then came the question….. what next? Like my Granddad says “your money is no good in the bank”. As we still owned the land and we were already renting the main building out, we decided to set up a property business and extend on the current units we have. On top of this we have purchased residential properties which we rent out and have successful holiday lets in the South of England a well as 6 properties on the Greek Island of Samos, which will all be advertised on our website in time. Smart Industrial properties is a family owned and a family run Company with 3 generations of family working within it. Hopefully you can be part of our next 50 years!
